My reasoning is that in addition to providing a local 'voice' that the community can depend on, and benefit from, in every way, culturally, socially, economically, it serves an even higher purpose, similar to 'farm teams', and 'below those' the volunteer 'little leagues', in sports. It is a long well known fact that when the infrastructure and resources of any large scale interest is made available in degrees all the way down to the grass roots level, where everything has it's origins, all the levels from the bottom to the top benefit and are self-sustaining, and resulting in a much higher quality of 'results' at every level.
